I am a part-time legal intern at the Malek Law firm and currently attend The University of Akron. I will be graduating in May of 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. After graduating I will be taking a year off of school to focus on gaining more experience and knowledge before attending law school in the Fall of 2020.
I was born in Cleveland, Ohio but moved to Akron for school. When I’m not in school, I enjoy spending time with friends and going on adventures to nearby cities. During the summer I spend much of my time at Geneva on the Lake where my sister and I enjoy swimming and going on walks throughout the town.
My interest in becoming a lawyer stems from an introduction to criminal law class that sparked my interest in college. It is a career built on critical thinking, problem-solving and making connections with others, which I love doing. By working at the Malek Law firm, I use those three things daily to help work on our clients’ cases. I have gained plenty of knowledge and insight into how the court system works and how different people in the law field interact with one another. The knowledge I’ve gained up until now has have helped prepare me for law school. Each day is different because of the diverse cases we handle, which always leaves for an exciting day.
